WEHT : WEHT-TV in the early 1980's when I worked there as an engineer. There's only one color image in the entire gallery. I shot primarily B/W at that time. Wish I had taken more. Some of the people I worked with - and to be sure, my friends - are not here. It's been more than 20 years and while I can remember first names, last names just won't come back to me. If I have a caption wrong, please email me (email address above) and I will fix it. Enjoy!

WJPS : When I was going to school at the University of Evansville, WJPS was *the* station to listen to in the tri-state. This was during the time that Wolf-Man-Jack was king at WLS in Chicago. WJPS still survives today as WVHI (the Voice of Heavenly Inspiration - I kid you not). A number of years back when I was teaching at ITT Tech in Evansville, one of the routine field trips was to visit the old WJPS transmitter site. This is one such field trip from that era.

WSM-AM Tower Site : Fabled WSM-AM. The site is located on I-65 12 miles south of Nashville. This station was the original station that carried the 'Grand Ole Opry' and still does today. Little known is the fact that WSM broadcasted the sounds of the L&N's crack train, the 'Pan American', as it passed the transmitter site. See a picture of this at http://defordbailey.info/node/62.

Hillary Comes To Indiana : Hillary Clinton at Central High School, Evansville (IN) on 05 May 2008. This was the day before the Indiana primary election. Mrs. Clinton arrived late (9:45PM) and the rally did not end until nearly 11PM. Since I live one-half block from the HS, I could not resist the urge to go and try to take some pictures. Glad I did. It also brought back many memories of when I worked at the ABC New Bureau in Washington.
